I picked this book up some years ago in Hungary. Many years later, thanks to my girlfriend we made two of the recipes: Fisherman's Soup and Punch Sauce Dessert Pancakes delicious. I would like to give this cookbook a 4, because the recipes are great, but they do require quite a bit of modernizations such as: put in oven should give a Temperature, or for example in place of lard use x amount of________.
My Hungarian exchange student gave me this cookbook for Christmas this year. ( I don't know if he was trying to give me a hint about my cooking!) I tried the recipe for chicken paprika. It turned out great. He and the other Hungarian student, along with his host family, gave it a thumbs up.
