A more sophisticated, gourmet evolutionary step in wheat-free cooking. This serves well to diminish my culinary ennui in choosing and making recipes with no wheat products (you'd be surprised just how prevalent they are), with allowing me to be a bit more "traditionally" epicurean adventuresome. We love and frequently make the crepes, gingerbread cows, and English muffins. Good intro to gluten-free baking at the front and doesn't require an author-specific flour blend to make the recipes.

I love this book! It's made being gluten free so much fun. I love the baked goods the best...she has some other more traditional meals for those who don't like changing their diets, but have to because of gluten restrictions. Try the crepes, everyone will love them and say, this is gluten free?!

What a strange book? Ostrich burgers, candied orange peel... foods that do not seem like everyday cook book foods.
All of the recipes included flours with high GIs. Would NOT recommend this book. I don't think the recipes are healing, especially for people with Celiac's disease.

This was good, she has some interesting and inventive ideas on changing recipes up without wheat. I am totally going to be trying those cornbread loaf recipes very soon here. And the cornmeal crust for the apple pie.

I like this because while it does have recipes for baking, it also has a lot of main dishes that make sense and explore the use of alternative grains like quinoa and millet.
