I found this a really great guide to all things thatch. However, the last half of the book consists of a detailed guide of thatched cottages all over England and Ireland. This would be handy if one was doing an extended tour of these places, but not right now! Still, 4 stars and very informative.

This gives me a good idea of what we're in for soon. It's nicely written, too, and the photos are lovely.
