I enjoyed reading this account of FDR's first one hundred days in offfice.The author stressed the contributions of five of his advisors,including some in the cabinet and some not.I was most impressed with Frances Perkins, the Sec of Labor and the first woman to serve in the cabinet.When offered the job, she first secured a commitment from FDR to support her agenda, which included minimum wage and prohibition of child labor. I also learned a lot about farm problems during the depression.I never r ...more
