We use this to cook for "company" and it always becomes a conversation starter! We have tried (and loved!) the Mutha Sauce (aka Dino's jarred BBQ sauce), the guacamole (threw out all our other recipes), the asparagus/red pepper/potato salad, the honey hush corn bread, the cranberry/apple crisp... and loved them all! Now if we can only rig up an outdoor smoker/grill...

So you think you know what bar-b-que is all about? Doubtful.

I recommend the chili and the Mutha Sauce.
You too can make great ribs armed with this cookbook.

I bought it when it came out because I live in Syracuse. Gotta support the local business's. I've had great success with all of the recipes so far. Gave a copy to my brother for Christmas and he became the BBQ master. Pretty much the gift that keeps on giving. It's a great primer on rubs, sauce, and basic technique. As well as all their tasty side dishes.

Nothing beats being at the Dinosaur, but this is a good fix for when you can't get there. The recipes are authentic, the food is great. We regularly use the rubs at home.

Some favorites:

Honey Hush Corn Bread
All of the rub recipes
Dino Shepherd's Pie
Tomato Basil Soup
This is my standby (and favorite) cookbook. I use it whenever I want to make something special for Mare (Miss C claims my cooking is too spicy). Last trip to the ADK we used it for every meal.
This book has amazing recipes-not too hard or too many ing redients to be frustrated by. The restaurant in Syracuse is such a fun place to eat!
Best BBQ on the planet! Great Music and entertainment as well. The Muthra sauce is great. Original Location is in Syracuse New York.
Cant wait to start working through some of these recipes!
Nice book about BBQ. And the sauce is the boss.
