This pamphlet is 20 years old now, but is still relevant. This book briefly details the history of the abortion movement, and how it went from a radical "repeal abortion law" to "legal and safe" paradigm. I think the quote in this book that really sums this up is:

"As long as the right-to-lifers demand that women give up all our options for abortion (Outlaw all abortion!) and pro-choice activists just ask to keep what women already have (Keep Abortion Safe and Legal!) then, by definition

An amazing book about radical abortion activists and their different struggles with the state, liberals, conservatives, and the general milieu of politics surrounding the pro-abortion movement in the US.

It's not a long book--you might be able to get through it in a few hours--but what it lacks in number of pages it certainly makes up for in an exciting and not well known history. I highly recommend this book.
This book is a history of the time when abortion was illegal in the US. It is also a history of the pro-choice movement, the movement that fought to make abortion legal in the US. This is very important women's history, very important history for anyone who believes individuals should be able to make their own choices aobut their own bodies.
This one was tough for me to get through, but too important to pass up. I wasn't aware of a lot of the hurdles women had to leap to obtain abortions in this country in the past.
