A chilling new thriller from the author of THE 50/50 KILLER

Dave Lewis is a man with a history. Haunted by his brother's murder when they were children, and scarred by his parents' grief, he's built a bitter life denying everything they ever stood for. He spends his time working as a magician, running a cynical magazine that derides his parents. New Age beliefs, and drownin

I'm not sorry I stuck with this author. This is my second book by Steve Mosby and I liked it just as much as The 50/50 Killer. Full of suspense and unexpected twists, just the way I like it. The ending was a bit weird, perhaps, but deliciously so. I've already picked up a copy of another one of his books, my curiosity's stirred!

Another convoluted plot by Steve Mosby. Someone is killing women by tying them up and leaving them without any food or water. They are found weeks later, dead of course. Dave Lewis's ex-girlfriend met this fate and, while he feels bad about it, it was nothing to do with him. However, when another ex-girlfriend goes missing he starts to wonder if he is being targeted somehow. Or is this just an incredible coincidence? The plot gets a bit twisty towards the end so I won't say any more. Of course ...more

...more

Not as good as the 50/50 killer. Easier to guess, and not as many twists. I couldn't really take to the main character either, for some reason, and it seemed to rush through his relationships with the girls, especially his new one with Sarah. It also didn't give a lot of detail about the murders, just bare basics, which is why I think I found it hard to empathise with anything.
However, it was easy to read, and enjoyable, if you can enjoy murders!

So I have a confession, (my own cry for help) I don't think I did this read justice. I should have taken a two days and read this book thru instead of reading along with several other books. However, when I did get to the point of reading this alone, it was thrilling as a thriller should be. It totally stumped me with the characters.

A thriller about a magician who somehow gets caught up in the plans of a serial killer, who ties up his victims and lets them starve to dead.
The end was unexpected - it's a classical whodunnit - but I didn't quite see it coming. A good read!

Weer een geweldig boek van Steve Mosby! Spannend, intrigerende karakters en een goed plot! Heerlijke, spannende thriller!

Aanrader!

I like the idea of the book but all the different characters were quite confusing at some point. Also, the ending of the book was sometimes a bit confusing. It is not 100% clear what the intensions/motives were from some of the characters.

'It was ok' just about sums this up .... not the best Steve Mosby i've read by a long shot ... way too complicated & an unbelievable story line .. the 'Mary' element didn't work for me & as for 'Tori' ..... i was glad when everybody died ... the end.

This is Steve Mosby's fourth novel. He gets better each time out.
A killer abducts women, then sends emails to their families purporting to be the victims aking for help. Just before he murders them.

Cry for Hep is a story about a killer who abducts girls then ties them up and let them die slowly of thirst. While they are dying he sends texts and emails with their phones to their friends and family pretending to be them saying they are alright and not to worry. A very good read indeed.

NICE!!! Creepy serial killer thriller that kept me wondering "who the hell done those naughty thangs?" till the end. Quite the little page turner... First book from this cat that I've read so I'm curious to see if his others are as fun as this one was. Next, please!

A quick read. There are some plot holes and blatant lies but the beginning is terrifying and very dark. Mosby invented the serial killer who doesn't kill but simply lets the victims slowly die.

It was a quick read and through out the book, I felt like I was in the crime zone and did not feel like letting go of the book till the end!

I actually guessed who the killer was. Awesome book!
