If you had a parent or a friend in WWII in Europe this is a must read. A small book packed with vignettes that leaves you with an understanding of the individuals struggling to act and comprehend war times. The book brings you full circle from what happened to how long it takes to integrate all that happened. Well written and tightly plotted. I wept when it was done, for my father and the other young men who went to war in Europe.
