Enjoyed it while it lasted. Take it for what it is: light, mindless romantic fluff with hardly any depth. Characters were neither good nor bad, memorable nor forgettable. The heroine started to annoy me with her putting out towards the end. I understood her motivations, so I guess what grated on my nerves was not so much her actions but the why in which that part of her personality was executed by the author. I wouldn't recommend rushing out to get this book. However, give it a shot if you don't ...more

Recommends it for: really desperate romance fans
Shelves: chick-lit
My husband said that the title must have been a pun on Bank's writing as well as the title character. I read Underfoot recently, and it was cute, so I picked this one up. it is like a bad carbon copy of Underfoot. Even the sex scenes are embarrassingly poorly written. I read romance novels because they have happy endings and are generally cheerful books. but this particular one, I felt my IQ dropping more the further I read it. so I stopped reading it.
addendum: I admit it. I picked it back up o

Hilarious! Had me rolling on the floor, laughing my butt off. I love the main heroine. She's got spunk and determination, and yet underneath all that, she's very much human and vulnerable. The plot was a bit far fetched but Banks somehow pulls it off and keeps the reader entertained. The delicious chemistry between the unlikely pair doesn't hurt either.

This was a sweet love story and just a good story in general. Delilah is an admirable, strong-willed heroine and Benjamin Huntington III is the perfect sexy-neighbor. The story ties in with other books (which I've yet to read) but stands alone.
