Recommends it for: Fans of Jock Sturges
This book is composed of just black and white photographs of Jock Sturges's favorite person to photograph. The nice work in this book is the change in the person (Misty Dawn) as she grows from being a child into an adult. These kind of books are hard to find as it takes years to compile and produce and maintain. The work is exquisite and the black and white is just perfect for this type of work.
I love the idea of taking portraits of someone over a long period of time, watching them grow and change. These photos of Misty Dawn really capture the story of a young girl growing up.
I love black-and-white photography, and it was interesting to see the same subject photographed over the course of a number of years. Very artistic.
