I admit it: I am reviewing these books years after reading them. However, do not even suggest that I'm no longer qualified, that too many years have passed to remember. My battered and faded copies of these books testify to how many times I read them growing up and plots and entire passages are seared in my memory forever.

Mandie and the Trunk’s Secret is book #5 in the MANDIE series and continues Leppard’s trend of great children’s fiction.
The love story is engaging and sweet. This book also offers some great suspense, making the reader wonder who the letters could have been to.
I highly recommend it to MANDIE fans and to anyone who loves great adventure fiction!

It was the 2nd book i read because i couldn't find #2. It was another WONDERFUL adventure with mandie and her friends.
In her last adventure, Mandi and her best friend have discovered a mysterious old trunk in the attic of their boarding school. In this story they retuned to the attic to investigate and discover a set of letters which included some important and exciting information. Though warned that uncovering the past can be both dangerous and painful, Mandie and her friends refuse to give up.
Mandie books are very sweet. I loved them as a kid, around the age of 8, and I still enjoy them,

There is such a thing as too much foreshadowing.
