I enjoyed reading this book again. Been quite a while since I first read it. Interesting beliveable characters, nobody is too goody-good, Marjorie is often selfish and annoying but never boring!! The story was realistic and interesting too. First in the series, so an intoductory book...but a good beginning.

Especially like the lovely GGB reprint, with original illustrations and introduction about Lorna Hill and the unusual story of how the books came to be published.
