I have this book on my shelf for the 'next' read, but I've had this therapy and it was amazing-want more but relocated and this town doesnt offer any therapists-not yet. this therapy is life changing-learn how to do, especially if your a massage therapist already.
I felt like I was reading an extended brochure for CST and SME--much of the book was simply examples of cases Upledger has worked on. I'm taking the CST 1 class in a few weeks, and this has whetted my enthusiasm. I still feel like I have a lot more detailed reading to do before I start.
Written for the public, this book details the development of Craniosacral Therapy by the author, with case studies. Required reading for the course.
MUCH easier to get through than the textbook! This book further ignited my energy, excitement and vision for my Craniosacral training and future. There are sooo many possibilities with this type of bodywork. What a glorious book to have read, particularly RIGHT NOW, as I continue to learn to feel the cranio rhythm. Soooo glad it was required reading for the class! And to think, even the update from the more recent edition, is at least 7 years old! That means even more advances in the field...more
compelling
This book is inspiring and awestriking at the same time. John Upledger, DO is one of the biggest names in craniosacral therapy (CST). CST is a gentle bodywork that involves handson manipulation of the head & facial bones and the rest of the spine. I myself had double vision resolve. Its a fascinating book and topic. I have dreams of becoming a craniosacral therapist one day.
This book describes how Upledger discovered the craniosacral rhythm as well as other techniques he uses while treating patients. NOT A TEXTBOOK by any means but actually a very interesting read with many stories about his successes with his techniques.

I have read this book several times now and always seem to find new information about the ability of the body to heal itself. This book is written for the layman and is fun to read as well as informative. More info at http://www.Upledger.com/
this book is a great introduction to craniosacral therapy for the layperson. I stories continued to astound me, but I was thankful to be introduced to this method of healing.
Fascinating stuff!
