I'm still diggin' Alexandra Ivy's Guardians of Eternity series and "Darkness Revealed" is book four. This series is about smoking hot vampires, sexy werewolves, powerful goddesses, wily fairies, snarky gargoyles, and most anything else that goes 'bump in the night'. While these stories are every bit as hot as many others available, for me this author keeps the tone lighter. There's still action, mystery, and suspense--but the sense of looming evil isn't there...and I enjoy that for ...more
This series continues to be one I like... but not enthusiastically. Dont get me wrong- it's got some great characters and perhaps that is why I continue reading. (You can plot your book like Plotty Plotterton but if you dont write engaging characters I care about? You've lost me.)
In Darkness Revealed we have a couple who have a history- which is what initially drew me in to the story, a Vampire hero and a heroine once again unaware of the incredible magic that lies within her.

Alright, book four in the Guardians of Eternity Series and we're starting to understand the rules of this fantasy world. However, the two main characters are not ones we have met before, so a slight deviation from past paths. This time we follow Conde Cezar and Anna Randall.

Just finished reading the book. Very good and quite interesting.
I wished Morgana would be given a brief history and her dramatic ascend to power.
A vampire in celibate for 200 years and still no extra information is given what they had done if he violate the rules. How he remain in celibacy. And if the Oracle wanted something, just summon him by giving terrible headache. Duh.
No mentioned of the mighty Goddess actions, Shalott prowess nor of Darcy's temper. Seems li...more

Another great entry in the Guardians of Eternity series. It has the requisite hot vampire [Mr. Tall, Dark and Dead:] and beautiful heroine with a Destiny [she's a compassionate lawyer, ummm, believing in vampires might be easier...:] The villain is Morgana le Fay, King Arthur has a couple of cameos, Levet makes occasional snarky appearances while various other characters from previous novels appear in supporting roles. I keep waiting for this series to just wow me but so far it hasn't. It was a decent enough book that kept my attention but it just didn't give me the emotional roller coaster that I love so much in romance novels. This is an interesting series though where they seem to fall for each other early on in the book and then the story is about the life threatening dangers. Suka banget sama buku ini, kesetiaan Conde Cezar ke Anna Randal setelah 195 tahun terbayar juga dengan hidup selibat Anna sepanjang itu. Walau di sertai dendam yang disimpan hampir 2 abad, akibat satu malam yg penuh gairah, pertemuan kembali mereka mau tidak mau mengikat mereka selama nya.

I think that Cezar was a great hero for this book. Anna met him about 200 years ago and Cezar seduced her. he also took her blood. But neither he nor Anna could have ever expected what would happen next.

Good read, but I feel like it is a carbon copy of the three books written in the series prior to this one. It goes something like this... Vampire meets girl. Vampire falls in love with girl. Girl falls in love with vampire. Something evil is after girl. Vampire protects girl and beats the evil something. Vampire makes girl his life mate. They live happily ever after. I loved this book. This one is about Conde Cezar. A drop dead gorgeous Vampire. (I still think Styx is the hottest of this series) Who has been destined by the Oracles to protect Anna from Morgana who wants to kill her and rule the world. I've been reading 3 novels with Levet in it, and I was pretty much curious if when will Alexandra Ivy would be making his own version. I mean, he's adorable, with a large dose of humor, who on earth would deny the adorable gargoyle. I want him to have his very own happily-ever-after.
I'll not repeat myself about things I liked in the fourth novel of Alexandra's series 'Guardians of Eternity' since they are more or less the same as I gave in my previous reviews. I'll just say that I loved this one as much as I loved the first three novels :)

I don’t know what happened to the authors muse, but this book just didn’t excite me the way the first 3 in the series did. I think she should have stopped with the last one, because the storyline for this book was just tolerable. I like a romance with liberal love scenes and the descriptive telling of how the vampires and their mates marry/bond with each other. This had little to none of that. Hopefully the next book in the series will redeem itself.
I enjoy Ivy's writing style for the most part. While the subjects and intro of this book didn't flow from the last book, it does appear that most of the books in this series often do flow together. Cezar was very sexy, and some of our old favorite characters make an appearance. Probably not my favorite book so far in the series, but I liked it.
Not recomended to most of my friends - adult romance.
I really enjoyed this book but for some reason I didn't connnect to the characters the same way as the last few books. I am excited to read about the new character Jagr in the next book.
