I've learnt a lot of things from this book:

1. Don't play pranks on people for your own amusement.
2. Don't scare people for your own amusement.
3. Don't be stupid.
4. If you do all those things above, nobody will like you... AND if someone gets hurt because of you, nobody will believe that you didn't hurt them on purpose.

Princess Emily did all of that, and now she has to suffer a terrible consequence! She didn't mean to hurt one of her people, in fact, she isn't even the one to blame... :o

Emily didn't mean to hurt anyone.

Emily loves playing tricks on the people of greenwood forest. But then an elf gets hurt! Who's going to believe she didn't do it this time?

I read this about 15 or 16 years ago probably. I loved it. It came with a fake Emerald ring. One of the first books I read for pleasure.
Maddy
I loved every word of it. But it is much like the boy who cried wolf.
If you lie and play tricks on people for too long, you lose their trust and
many people know that when someones loses trust in you,
that trust is very hard to get back. You need to do something quite heroic
to get it back.

Jahnna Beecham and Malcolm Hillgartner are the authors. Book #3 in the series stars Princess Emily aka the Emerald Princess. Other royalty includes Princess Roxanne aka the Ruby Princess and Demetra aka the Diamond Princess.

Emily plays tricks and on one of these chapters the guy who she tricks gets hurt from the darklings traps. My favorite part was the end of the book when she learned to never play tricks on anyone again. Auryn 7yo

If your child can read at this level it would be a good book. A fun beginning fantasy series. The plot lines are simple and easily solved with not too much of the dark side of fantasy.

These books are great to grow up on. All little girls around the age of 8 (younger or older) should read at least one book about each of the four princesses.
Kayla
Never read the rest of the series when I was a girl, but I always used to wish after reading this book for the thousandth time that I could be a princess.
