This is going on my Amazon Wish List! A wonderful book about how we each have our place inside the universe and the universe has a place inside each of us. Beautiful illustrations, beautiful concept, beautifully written, beautiful book.

This is one of the books that our Quaker Meeting gave to Calder. I love it, as it has a universal message of what human beings really want and need and how we are all the same on some level.

Steve says, "pretentious". I didn't like it either. Kids were indifferent. Something about new age for picture books doesn't ring right with me. Eh.

This would be a sweet bedtime snuggle for any child 0 to 4 years or thereabouts. This would be a great picture book for parents who want to nurture an understanding of our interconnectedness and every child's buddha nature. (No, it never mentions buddha nature, but that's what I took it to be, and so did the person who recommended it to me.)

It's simple and sweet, with soothing artwork.
