"Everlasting" was originally published in 1986 by Bantam Loveswept. It is part of a fairly extensive series of books connected with the fictional midEast kingdom of Sedikhan. Although reading the other books in the series isn't necessary, there are a few areas where some foreknowledge is helpful. And definitely keep in mind the time when this book was written...the world was quite different in 1986 and male-female relationships and interactions depicted bear out those differences!

Everlasting by Iris Johansen
I picked this book because Iris Johansen is one of my favorite authors. I started listening to this book about three weeks ago. It has taken me this long to figure out how to write a review. I enjoy a racey novel every now and again, but I would also like some kind of plot. What is the plot....I have no clue...I do know that a princess askes a wealthy man to help rescue a woman who raised her. That is about all I got because, once they met, all the author w
My sister gave me this book knowing it was a romance novel, but she also said it had a mystery and lots of action. HMMMMM

In this book a princess asks a billionaire to help her get the woman who raised her out of the country. (This is a fictitious country--I found out there were several books written that had taken place in Sedikhan.) The two main characters are Princess Kira and Zack Damon. Kira feels Zack is the only one who can help her and she tries to seduce him. What she doesn't know is th
Not too bad, however I am not a romance fan. I have read this author's recent books which are suspense, without doing any research I grabbed this based on author alone. Whoa was I surprise. Plot was not earth shattering but moved swiftly.
It may have been only 4 CDs, but two was enough. Since I couldn't skim them, I just returned them to the box. I enjoy Iris's older Loveswept books, but this one was definitely an exception.

Recommends it for: nobody
This book can only be appreciated by romance novel readers. I am not. Hence, my giving it only one star. For the full review:
I did not like the female lead character in this at all. She was naive, gullable and kinda dumb. Oh and she's a princess that has all these qualities...
I read it because it was Iris Johansen, but it lacked the depth of her current writting. A cute little romance but nothing special!

This was a love/suspense book and my first Iris Johansen book. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of Iris Johansen books.
Picked this up because i needed a short book for the car and have liked past Iris Johansen books. But this one was beyond cheesy.
I didn't like this book as well as her Eve Duncan series. Way to much --- and details.
This is my favorite author. She never fails to write a great book.
