Bukowski no sólo es uno de los más grandes escritores estadounidenses de todos los tiempos, además es un salvavidas. Desde la decadencia se puede encontrar la belleza. Hay flores debajo de la mierda.

Mujeres, sexo, cervezas, carreras de caballo y desgracias, lo típico de Bukowski aunque no relatado de la mejor manera. Definitivamente no es uno de sus mejores libros.
