I've owned this book for about 20 years. Frankly, it's not that great. The transcriptions are basic, but definitely get you in the ballpark as far as the main riffs of each song. Where it falls short are the guitar solos. The shorter, simpler solos are notated fairly well, but some of the longer, more involved solos are done quite lazily. Other "outro" solos are omitted entirely or the player is told to "ad lib" in lieu of a proper transcription. I will say that if you're a beginning guitarist ...more

BLACK SABBATH ANTHOLOGY

What can I say that others probably haven’t already found out about this book? I guess the best place to start would be with the transcription of the songs in this book. The Black Sabbath track “Juniors Eyes” starting on page 62 could have been much better. I realize that the transcription of any song is open to interpretation by the artist, but I was less than pleased with this song and a few others.

I purchased this book used, which in my opinion is the only way this book
