As you all know Massie has a perfect life, she has everything a girl wants. She thinks she has 3 best friends, Kristen, Alicia, and Dylan… But this is about to change, one of her best friends is going to become her worst enemy and her worst enemy is going to become one of her best friends. This spectacular, insanely entertaining book is filled with melodramatic conflicts, it is a book in which you will be over-blown by the circumstances talking place at there school, the most expensive school yo ...more

When I first picked up this book, I wasn't so sure that I wanted to read it anymore. The title kind of threw me off. Once I started reading it, though, I understood the title. All in all, this was a very good book. It's very realistic and I liked it better than the first book! :]

Ouch does the title hurt. If you have read the first book, The Clique, you would know about the four girls in the Pretty Committee, and Claire Lyons, the girl who wants to be In. Things go sour for the two girls in the Pretty Committee, over a guy. It was always friends first ... right?
I liked this book, and all the other books in The Clique series. This one was special because it showed how the Pretty Committee fought each other in public and not only against everyone else in their school.

The story starts during Mr. Block's celebratory birthday dinner in which Todd Lyons spills grape juice all over Massie's skirt. Massie accuses Claire of repeating outfits and Claire retorts that this is perfectly normal, and that Massie should be ashamed that she buys new clothes everyday. Massie's mother agrees that she has not come in the door without a shopping bag since she was nine. The girls strike a deal in which Massie is not allowed to buy any clothes for a month and Claire is not allow ...more

book shout out!
well these series of books are really good. they are fition books but when you feel like you are really in side of the books. especailliy when there is suspense at the end of a page you just get anxious for the next page to turn so that you can see what happens next.with all the different characters:massie , clarie ,alicia , dylan , kristen and many more. they will be sure to keep you at the edge of your chair.some of my favorite parts being when claire was found under the bleach
I really liked The Clique sequel because it had even more drama than the last book. At the beginning I was kind of bored, but as I read on, the book got more and more hooked on it. I think that what first made it interesting for me was when Claire bets Massie that she can't go a month without shopping and Massie bets Claire that she can't go the same amount of time without repeating clothes. I think that the bet made both girls realize that it's not easy being like the other one and made them ge ...more

This book is pretty good. I must say it is not as good as the first and other books. In this book Massie decides that she should have her first BOY GIRL HALLOWEEN PARTY. Why... because Massie is ridiculously paraniod that she is not staying on the top of the "middle school pyramid." And of course Claire is still not apart of the Pretty Committie and completly un- wanted. But... of course Claire has to plan the party with Massie in order to have it. This book is a good sequal but it is not realy ...more

I just finished the book Best Friends for Never (The Clique Series) by Lisi Harrison. The Clique series has to be on my top 5 favorite books. It is in facts my favorite series. I love how Lisi Harrison writes her book(s). One example: she makes it easy and fun to read her books. Probably because her characters are in 7th grade and so am I. My favorite part of the book is when they have the halloween party and a lot of unusual things happen *wink wink* drama. There’s a new boy in town who Massie ...more

I read this with my friend at the same time. It was O.K. I really didn't like it as much as the other ones- it was good, but not great. It's more like a giant introduction for the next three books.

Homework book #4. OK, I had to read this because I say about my own novels that they are not about upper class girls schools and girls who spend daddy's money in malls ... which is one of the vices, oft-metioned, of the main characters in this novel, part of the Clique series. What I could not tell is if the author was poking fun at these girls while telling their story, or if she was holding them up as examples to be followed. Sometimes I felt the former, sometimes the latter, and I may need to ...more

As much as I love "The Clique" series, I have to say that this book was not one of the best. Once you pass the first chapter and go onto the second one, it makes you realize that the time passed by too quickly. It was like this wasn't the second book-more like the fifth.

In this book, I felt like we knew too little about Massie and her clique to feel any ties with them. Also, Lisi Harrison added in and said things that hadn't happened befo
Best Friends for Never is #2 in Lisi Harrison's controversial "The Clique" series of young adult novels. Starting with this novel, the few positive messages from the first book start to disappear as the series starts to prefer promoting consumerist teen fashion, obsessive relationships, selfish scheming and a lack of writing craft. That said, there is enough to salvage this novel as a borderline recommended read.

Plot: Claire Lyons earns the acceptance of Massie Block and the special protection a

In this book Massie has always been at the top of the clique. Until suddenly Massie feels as though she needs stay on the top. So for the first time she throws a boys and girls halloween party. But for her to throw this party, her parents insist on that she has to invite the whole entire grade.

I don't have a connection with massie. You see Massie doesn't want to invite her whole entire grade. Yet i do have some advice for her. You see if I was Massie I wouldn't care if I wasn't not that popular

This book is about the party of the year being crashed when all the drama gets in the way of a happy night. Girls will be girls when boys get in the way of a friendship. It take a while for everyone to realize it doesn't matter but lets just have fun. Though the night was suppose to be fun all the cat fights and stupid drama come tumbling in with gossip.

I can relate because sometimes I take things on to seriously and I don't realize its about having fun. All of the characters didn't look at t

Best friends for never is the second book from the series this book is about Claire not so popular wants in on Massie’s group. Claire is willing to do anything to be friends with Massie. Even willing to take away Massie’s huge crush. Massie throws a really big halloween party she uses Massie to throw the party her parents have no idea. Okay I won't lie. I didn't think I could/should enjoy the book, but oh well. :p
I think I might have enjoyed this one slightly more than the 1st, but only just. These "clique" books hold a sort of car crash fascination for me. Lots of drama and middle school politics. Worries about boys and popularity and fashion. All these things are the focus of most teenage girls' worlds. I can defiantly understand why such a series is appealing. But it does show girls (& boys) in a very bad light.

It pretty much portrays girls as shallow backstabbing bitches that should only care ab

In the book, Best Friends for never, Massie Block has got a new crush, Cam Fisher. She tries to spend more time with him by hosting a Halloween party. Sadly, her party goes south and Cam winds up noticing Claire, at that moment Cam realizes that Claire is the right person for him. Also, Alicia finds a new friend and her name is Olivia Ryan. Alicia and Olivia spend a lot of time together now, and of course, Massie is jealous. Cam is sending Claire notes and candy, but now, Claire likes Cam. Mass ...more

I can't believe i'm saying this but this book was actually good. Most books about fashion and rich obnoxious girls don't interest me, but this one was actually cool. It's about this clique of girls at an all girl junior high who are on the verge of being seperated. The leader, Massie, feels like she's loosing her sense of authority on the other 3 girls. Now she's at war with one of her best friends from second grade.
I'm really looking forward to the next book.

Massie Block is still the most popular girl in OCD. When one of these girls in her grade is hosting a party for halloween. Massie steals the idea. She needed her parents permission so again she used Claire Lyons to help her ask their parents. Claire’s and Massie’s parents think that they are friends but they are not. Massie still has her two best friends, Dylan, Kristen, and Alicia. There goes a lot in trouble between the clique and crushes.

This has to be my favorite series of all times. My favo

I'm so happy I discovered Lisi Harrison's book. Even though the main characters are from fabulously wealthy families, readers will relate to reading about this girl clique. Because in the real world, it doesn't matter if clique members are rich, or not, the exclusivity they project crosses all economic classes. We can all relate to the mean spiritedness the characters in this book portray. Plus, we can identify with the need to have the best clothes, to be rail thin, and want to be the most popu ...more

The book Best Friends for Never by Lisi Harrison is the second book in the Clique series and it did not let me down. This book was entertaining and kept me turning the pages to find out how the Clique has broken up.
At Massie and Claire's Halloween party, Olivia the most un-popular girl of the school became popular. Olivia started hanging out with Alicia from the Clique and they finally broke off to be friends on their own. The clique has officially broken up! What could happen next?

Follow up to the first book in the series about some very rich self-centered high school girls and a new girl who shows up and is not quite so rich. The main part of the book is a Halloween party supposedly organized by the rich "leader" and the not quite so rich wanna-be. Because their moms want them to get along better. Also there is a fashion contest.

I just wish the wanna-be was NOT a wanna-be, but I guess that is more realistic. Sigh. However, she keeps doing things that would cause her NOT
