An interesting discussion on the raison d'etre of the European Union. This book moved me further into the Euro-skeptical camp as the arguments put forth by the Habermas camp displayed a full range of Franco-German arrogance and contempt for not only the United States (that is to be expected by that side of the spectrum of European intellectuals) but more problematically for half of Europe, itself.
