It's quite wordy and a little outdated - at least in the edition that I read. It is somewhat a little too academic in its idea, and some of its opinions do not necessarily co-incide with mine. Then again, the whole concept of the book is a little stale - and I say this as someone who does indeed review films as part of his profession.
