Emmet Sweeney has taken up Velikovsky's work and built on it, including reseach that has been done since Velikovsky died. I enjoyed this series. I doubt the ancient historical calendar can be compressed as much as Sweeney does it, but really the calendar year is less important than the sequence of development and cultural interactions. While it is impossible to prove, to me it's an exciting example of thinking outside the box, and many of the things he says make sense.
