This book was pretty good to cleanse the pallet (ie. books that are an entertaining, mindless read.) However, I got annoyed with the main character constantly complaining about her body. While many women have body issues, Sophy was way over the top. She was obsessive about her "wobbly bits" and it made me think she was too self deprecating. I was watching this movie one day and noticed it was a book too, most books are better. This one was very different from the movie, but more funny. It was like a female Brittish Seinfield. This book was absolutely hilarious. I loved the twisted antics of the main character, Sophy.
If you are looking for a light read, I highly recommend this book.

Originally called "Asking for Trouble," before the movie-tie-in version.
It's a silly, silly, but enjoyable book that is easily 10 times better than the movie.

this was a fun, stupid book. Then came the movie with debra messing and that hottie from My Best Friend's Wedding. Sigh.

The book is soooooo much better than the movie. Very witty in an English, Bridget Jones sort of way.
