Maisy Cleans Up (Maisy)
by
Lucy Cousins
For Maisy, even cleaning up can be fun - if you have a friend stop by to help. In MAISY CLEANS UP, Charley smells something delicious in Maisy’s kitchen but has to wait until the floor is dry. Time passes more quickly when he pitches in to pick up some toys, and washing the windows is a cinch with Charley inside and Maisy out. Now the floor is finally dry, and there are th...more

The story centres around a mouse Named Maisy who is cleaning their house. Maisy's friend, Charley, then comes over and sees that there are cakes to be eaten in the kitchen but he can't because the floor is still wet. Charley then helps Maisy clean the house while the floor dries and needless to say in the end they eat the cakes.

This book makes me wish MY friends would come over and help me clean every now and then. As almost anyone can tell you, I'm not one of the most organized people you will meet(although I really am trying). If only cupcakes would be waiting for us whenever a tough job needed to be done...I'd be found cleaning a lot more often. =)

What is it about Maisy? I had piles of books for the kids at joyschool to read and every one of them just wanted to read this Maisy book (and any other Maisy book) over and over. Cousins has over 13 million books in print; she knows what children like!
All of my children LOVE Maisy. Great pictures with only a few words on each page, which keeps my children engaged until the end. Carter and Emma love to "eat" the cupcakes at the end with Charlie and Maisy.
Mmmmm cupcakes haven't had those in a while. My favorite part is when Charley helps Maisy clean up.
This is another cute Maisy story. Charley and Maisy clean up and then they eat cupcakes. Yum!
Teaching the kid to clean up!! Cute book, her and I both liked the bright pics.

Sophie loves the vacuuming page. Maisy never fails us- cute, fun, easy to read and follow.
