For almost two thousand years devoted believers, mystics, innocents, and even non-believers have reported to have near-to-life, fully perceptual, visitations with Jesus Christ. In 1992 He appeared to Glenda Green and spoke with her daily for almost four months. The expressed purpose of their visit was to paint His portrait, but nothing in the history of her career as an ar ...more

This was not at all what I was expecting when this book was recommended to me. I shy away from anything biblical because of the deeply rooted dogma that is present, and it's something that has never really resonated with me. This book however, touched me deeply. It comes from the authenticity of Jesus simply being a fully realized and enlightened being. You cannot ignore the heartfelt truths that he explores throughout the book. All paths lead to love!

This is the most impressive and informative book I have ever read on many topics that relate to living a successful and enlightened life. The book was based upon daily appearances of Jesus Christ to an artist named Glenda Green from January 2, 1992 through March 12, 1992, as she painted his portrait. The content is mainly direct quotations from Jesus (Jeshua in Aramaic) which are in italics. No person could have fabricated these masterful explanations and applications of wisdom that even include ...more

I originally read this book back around 2003 when I was started experiencing spiritual transformation and being provided with guidance, so it wasn't a stretch for me to believe that Glenda spoke to Jesus. I re-read this book in 2014 after I was presented with a great interaction with the Divine. I recommend this book to those who are beginning to awaken as a glimpse into experiences that they may one day have themselves. It was nicely written and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Blessings.. Ms. Green writes about the husband challenging his wife to paint a picture of Christ, her response, "How can I do this, my image of Christ is quite different from yours." Since her wonderful home and studio had recently burned to the ground, finally she suggested that, 'if' Christ came to advise her, she would paint him. Low and behold for two and a half months daily Christ was in her studio. The following discussions were phenomenal, in fact Christ suggests certain beliefs from the Bible are no ...more

=== Many truths but difficult to connect the dots ===

Yes, this book does have many truths that ring true. Even a skeptic has to admit that much. We are told that Jeshua/Jesus manifested himself to Glenda Green off and on for two months in 1992 and responded profusely to her questions about love and life. He would sit next to her on the sofa. He would watch TV (relevant to the topic of the day) with her. She would make notes which form the bulk of the contents of the book. I have read numerous bo

This Book was recommended by a friend in my spiritual book club. I am a skeptic when it comes to experiences like this. The author, who is also an artist, says that Jesus visited her during the early 1990s. She asked him questions about his life, the nature of the universe, and the Bible and the God of the Old Testament. Who am I to question her experience? Still, I don't know if these are Jesus's views or the author's own.

When I first heard of the origins of this book I was skeptical, but as with everything else I figured I would keep an open mind. I was not far into the book when I realized what a wealth of information it contained. Sometimes it becomes extremely intense to read and must be digested in small sections. This is one of the most incredible reads I have come across.

A startling account of the author's personal experience of painting a portrait of Jesus. She claims that Jesus appeared to her and posed for the portrait. Whether or not you believe that this could have happened is not the point. Rather the point are the conversations she had with Jesus, and her understandings. It's thought-provoking and well-worth the time.

Like the Holy Scriptures, every time I open and read, even if just a line or two, seem to help or applies to my life and my living.

"Divine LOVE is prior cause, and nothing preceeded it. From LOVE all was created."

This book is stunning...just stunning. Among other things I learned from this book is how much command we really have over our bodies. What a godsend! This one's a keeper; I'll go back to it again and again.
