I'm a little ambivalent about this one. Freya suddenly becomes a fussy eater, so her parents send her to her grandparents who say they can fix it. When Freya asks for outrageous food (warthog, for example) her grandparents actually make it. Even though Freya gets nauseous, they persist. The scare tactics of the grandparents seem a bit off, and no explanation is given for other reasons kids become picky eaters.

I adore this book for so many reasons. I found it to gift to my friend Amanda for her daughter Freya, but also bought a copy for our lot. Illustrations are fun, vocab is great (and British - Mum, "we'll sort her," "sweeties in a tin," etc.) and... the solution is a brilliant collaboration between the generations. Adore this book!

Freya decides one day she will not eat, so she goes to Grandma and Grandpa's for a feast, but they surprise her with elephant, warthog, and mashed monkey, she goes home and eats her mother's food and is no longer a fussy eater.
