I liked this book which was set in the Holy Land. Since I've been to the Holy Land and Jerusalem, I was familiar with much of the dialogue and locations. Good story and concept, totally believable (for non-believers); but I was disappointed in the ending, which I felt was flimsy and could have been written much better. If not for the ending, which just "fell away", I would have rated this book higher.
Fascinating story about the relationship between archaeologists and the RC church. Interesting "alternative" ideas as to the background of the Christian faith - purely fictional of course! The book started a bit slow but caught on between one-third and half way through. From then on it was a page turner!
