Although the beautiful illustrations of Industrial Revolution-era England will delight upper KS1 and lower KS2 children, this book is a bit boring. It is mostly concerned with the lesson of being thankful for what you have, and the grass being greener on the other side. However, the basic storyline and standard language may not engage all readers.
