4 stars – Contemporary Romance

This is a cute, entertaining, funny contemporary romance with a reunited lovers theme.

Would've given this book 4 stars b/c of the good writing, pacing, wit, & sensuality. BUT I didn't like the hero & heroine. Michael is portrayed as an externally confident but internally insecure guy who is supposedly so in love with Leah, remembers everything about her, and has thought about her everyday in their 5 years separation yet he flirts with & has sex with multiple women globally. Yeeeaah...Leah, on the otherhand, is portrayed as a vapid, shallow, & emotionally weak woma ...more

That is not romance at all. Bad hero and poor and gullible girl.

Sort of up in the air aout this one...Maybe if it'd been longer and delved more deeply into the characters psyches (beyond the h's insecurities) I'd be more decided in my opnion.

My major isue is that I don't like Slutty Hero's. And this hero is slutty. Even while fighting (and I use that term loosley as he didn't do a lot of fighting to keep her) he's constantly going off with other women...Albeit not romantically but still! How can the heroine not feel insecure if everytime she turns around he

Why did I read this book? I don't especially remember liking the first one in the series. This one wasn't much better. Michael Raney dumped his girlfriend Leah Klein because he didn't think that their relationship meshed well with his career in the CIA. The dumping shut Leah down for moths and even five years later, her career as an actress hasn't recovered. But she finally got a part in a major motion picture... which Michael's extreme sports company is doing the stunt effects for. When the two ...more

WOW man loves a woman until the end. Life does get in the way when a woman gets hurt via the heart. But love will always win when it is ment to be.

I did like this book (maybe not quite as much as the first), but I have to say I didn't really like the H, Michael Raney. Leah Klein and Michael Raney were a couple 5 years ago when she lived in New York. She was a Broadway actress and things were looking up for movie/sitcom roles. She was in love with the greatest guy, Michael - until out of the blue he dumps her. It was heartbreaking! Fast forward five years later, and Leah is struggling to make it in LA, when she runs into Michael on the set ...more

This book had good potential but it fell flat halfway through.
There was too much arguing, too much whining, and the "you dumped me and lied to me", "I've thought and loved you for all these years" became terribly repetitious. I mean, I know there is this thing that women mean yes when they are saying no but Leah took this to a whole new level.
If you want a guy stop playing games. You you know the guy is a man-whore, you know his past and present so you either want him/forgive him or not.

I really enjoy reading Julia London's books. This is the second book about extreme sports and the guys that run TA (Thrillseekers Anonymous). Michael Raney would not commit to any one woman because he really liked them all but when he met Leah Klein he met his match. He left her five years ago but when he ran into her again, he knew that he had made a mistake but could he convince her. Could he change her mind about him or was it a losing battle.

This book had an awesome ending that gave you hope

Extreme Bachelor is the second book in Julia London’s Thrillseeker’s Anonymous series. Thrillseekers Anonymous (TA) is a members-only adventure service that caters to the rich and famous. As a stunt coordinator, extreme sport enthusiast, co-owner of Thrillseekers Anonymous and THE extreme bachelor, Michael Raney doesn’t miss his life as a CIA operative. However, a television commercial reminds him of the woman he gave up for that life. When he arrives on the set of the latest TA movie production ...more

This book was just okay for me.

For starters, I listened to the audiobook. The problem with audiobooks is that the narrator can make or break a book and this narrator just didn't work for me. The dialog was overly dramatic at times and the voices used for the male characters were unrealistic with campy southern or east coast accents. Especially the Spanish character that sounded French. I tried not to let this ruin the story for me.

As for the story itself, it's one of those books where you know

I really liked parts of it, but the shallowness of ALL of the characters was so annoying. The MC had been in a serious relationship (but under a year) when he walked out. Now, 5 years later they end up in the same place and he tries to get back together with her. I liked that he apologizes for the past early on, but then he doesn't walk the walk. And we get his POV about his past and why he did what he did, but he never really tells her that. In fact after his apology, his behavior towards he ac ...more

Fun and full of angst read. What I like about this book is how the hero is not a prince charming. He is insecure, stubborn, a player through and through though he never cheating. No there's no perfect hero here. And Leah the heroine is like no other heroine too. She's not very beautiful, rich or success but fun.

I completely enjoyed this book. the story had enuff mystery and ruff stuff to avoid being designated a "slick chick book to make into a chickflick". since I gave up printed books for my kindle, I cant call it a page turner but it is a screen flipper.

I love it when I discover an author and find out that she has written many books! This happened when I won "One More Night" by Julia London on Good Reads. "One More Night" is book 2 in London's 3 Thrillseekers Anonoymous series. This book hooked me from the very beginning. I liked the main characters and the fact that they were trying their best to find happiness in their lives. I had a hard time putting this book down, and when it was over, I wanted more! I will definitely check out the other 2 ...more

Pembukaan yang seksi m ...more

This book is just ok. This book has big plot holes. You wonder how things happened and why. Ms. London doesn't really develop the characters fully. I really didn't care if they lived or died. I thought she would tell us a little more about how they got close the first time they were together. If she wanted it to be about the movie then make it about the movie. If she wanted it to be about their past and their possible future together then make it about that because it's obvious Ms. London can't ...more

Loved One More Night!

The rich character development made the story flow and also had interesting and unexpected plot twists that made it hard to put down.
