Perhaps you will have better luck than I did with this book. Let me explain.

I purchased this book because it is one of the few general histories published in English by an Afrikaner regarding the Anglo-Boer War. The Boers called it Die TweedeVryheidOorlog (second freedom war.) Although I have reads hundreds of book about South African history, including many personal accounts of the Boer soldiers involved in the war, I wanted to refresh my memory and gain an overall view again of the struggle ag
