I didn't fancy the film when it came out, even though I knew the locale from my younger days in London, mainly because I was not a Hugh Grant fan. However, I spotted a synopsis on TV when it was to be shown and saw mention of a bookseller so I decided to give it a watch. Thank goodness I did for the film was magnificent and Grant was excellent - as was Julia Roberts and the rest of the cast.

I was so taken I had to find a copy of the screenplay and duly did so.The read is just as good as the watc
