Praise For Zero Limits

"This riveting book can awaken humanity. It reveals the simple power of four phrases to transform your life. It's all based in love by an author spreading love. You should get ten copies of it----one for you and nine to give away. It's that good."

I think the philosophy is great, but was Joe Vitale really the only person who could tell us about it? I mean, just go check out how many websites he has put up in connection to ho'opononono or however you spell it. Need a t-shirt? A business card with a clean logo? Honestly, my disgust over the flagrant self-promotion in this book was kind of overwhelming. Here is the truth of the matter. There are no secrets divulged here, just this: I love you, I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you. Whether ...more

With the Ho'oponopono method described in this book you acquire the means both to heal yourself and anything in your life and to heal all others of whatever problem they might have,

The theory is that everything and everyone that comes into your life is a reflection of your own self and your own state. So it is actually yourself you must heal always no matter where you see the problem. You do this by saying repeatedly to the "Divine" the following four phrases: "Please forgive me, Sorry, Thank yo
Typically, am a very open person...even if I think something is totally crazy, or something I can never see myself agree with, am still not as naive to just simply dismiss it. As through education is the key to knowledge and understanding...and am also a fan of Joe Vitale's work, but this 'going to zero' and being able to heal EVERYBODY or situations that are wroing in my life is even too extreme for me.

I understand it, I get what Hou Len and Joe are saying, but my deep inner belief still after
I gave this book 3 stars for the content...but it should only have 1 star for the writing. As other reviewers have said, Joe Vitale is a relentless self-promoter and needs to get over himself! I really liked the message in this book about using your mind, intentions, love, gratitude and forgiveness to heal the world by healing oneself. Vitale presents everything in terms of "what you get" and "how much money" will miraculously come to you by using the method. Maybe he thinks no one will read the ...more
I have understood for years that I am 100% responsible for everything I do and have done. Zero Limits talks of how a psychologist cured a hospital full of criminally insane patients without meeting or talking to any of them by reading their records and taking 100% responsibility for what THEY did! He repeats these four phrases:

"I love you."
"Please forgive me."
"I'm sorry."
"Thank you."

as a process of cleaning himself of his responsibility of others' issues. A different perspective that is giving m

This book has some great ideas. I have started telling everyone who bugs me in all situations I love them. I have a difficult relationship with my mother and some family and I have been telling them I love them. Whenever situations arise in my life now that are difficult I tell all involved, in my head, that I love and forgive them. I have also stopped trying to force this stuff down my husbands throat and let go of the need to convince him that I am right, I just tell him I love him and it's al ...more
Though I really like the message and the meaning of Ho'oponopono and have found peace in the practice(even in a few short days), Dr Vitale's relentless self promotion and merchandising of Dr Hew Len and his own journey are repugnant. He can't seem to help himself: he flaunts his success as the way to happiness and fulfillment but leaves you hanging to know how it works. You have to take his workshop to find out. There are many other teachers who offer similar practices without the catch. The Pre ...more
Although I think there is something in the Mantra (I love you, I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you), this book left me with a profound dislike for Joe Vitale and anything associated with him. Even disregarding the repeated racist, sexist ideas presented, Mr. Vitale presented as a money grubbing elitist who wrote this book as one long promotional for all his other money making scams. All I kept thinking of was an old quote attributed to that other scammer who became rich by founding a "religi ...more
Ho'oponopono, huh? It's a great book, took me through a new dimension in life.
Okay there is self-promotion, yes, but the book is intertwined with it. Isn't it so? Joe Vitale tries to make the concept believable with self-promotion and testimonies. And if we don't like his egotistic whims, we better clean, clean, clean. I love you. Have a pleasent read. :)
So glad I only borrowed this from the library and didn't buy it. This book could have easily been 20 pages and could have done w/o Vitale tooting his own horn and advertising his other books and web sites every other page. The message and wisdom of Ho'oponopono gets lost with Vitale's vanity.

A woman I know suggested I read this book. "Take it lightly," she said, "the author is pretty full of himself, but I think there will be some good lessons in there for you."

Wrong. This book is complete rubbish.

When Dr. Hew Len isn't sounding like Jesus Christ (He takes your problems into himself, then asks The Divine for forgiveness, then you are magically healed) he is sounding like a Scientologist (your problems are the result of bad memories - you need to cleanse and be clear). Then he throws

"Complete responsibility means accepting it all--even the people who enter your life and their problems, because their problems are your problems. They are in your life, and if you take full responsibility for your life, then you have to take full responsibility for what they are experiencing too."

"The idea isn't to achieve results, but to achieve peace. When you do that, you often get the results you wanted in the first place."

There is so much to this book - so many deep and powerful ideas, but
Revolutionary: Ho'oponopono, the Hawaiian healing and clearing method, updated with Joe Vitale and Dr. Hew Len.

Here's a synopsis of Dr. Hew Len healing a Hawaiian ward for the criminally insane using Ho'oponopono from the website

"From 1984 till 1987 he worked as a staff psychologist for Hawaii State Hospital overseeing high security unit housing male criminally insane patients. Now, to make things clear: these are the type of guys you donât want to turn

It was a good story. Dr. Joe is very good at telling stories. The content and explanation of how this all works was kinda vague. The mantra is easy enough to repeat.

I Love You
I'm Sorry
Please Forgive Me
Thank You

You are saying these to the divine but it is really for your own ears. It does have a mellowing effect to repeat that mantra a few times. I haven't notice anything especially different. My wife still got mad at me and I repeated the mantra over and over and no, she didn't suddenly get all

Okay, I don't like the way Joe Vitale writes...and I really don't care for his relentless self-promotion. BUT I like this book when it gets to the meat and potato portions of this Hawaiian technique - and the man currently behind it all.

How can someone heal an entire ward of violent psychiatric patients without even talking to or laying hands upon a single patient?

Read this book, and find out...but here's a's all about the love - and a bunch of energy too...I put the
Joe Vitale introduced a very interesting concept here, which makes me realise that all faiths in this world are parallel in many ways. The basic teaching advocated by Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len, Ph.D.and his predecessor is that whatever that happens around you is an extension of what is within you. So if you are surrounded by problematic situations or problematic people, what you need to do is look within yourself and work from there. So we are responsible for everything that is happening in this wo ...more
Thought the idea behind this book is interesting and probably valid, I found myself wanting to know more. I read this after some friends recommended it, but I was disappointed to find that my conversation with them was as enlightening as this entire book! I felt like a was reading a 200+ page teaser to either take Dr. Hew Len's seminar, or read/follow one of the dozens of other books and websites Joe Vitale name-drops here. I would be interested in reading a book written by Dr. Hew Len himself, ...more
A got over half way through, read the appendices and decides to stop. The ideas presented seem pretty workable, but I have trouble with people presenting a revolutionary system that will resolve all issues, BUT first you have to take the workshops ($555 for the first level) or order the DVD set ($149) because the secret stuff can't be put in print. From what I can gather, many people have benefited immensely by the material and workshops, so I am not putting them down. It's just that I have trou ...more

I had already come to the conclusion on my own that same idea that this book presents.
I didn't read it first, it was just a confirmation.
But what was added to my skills from this book was the ho'oponopono app for my ibody.
Thank you.

What I already knew was that all things going on in my school/game/life are my responsibility to clean up and return to balance or return to perfection/God. The ho'oponopono app is: I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you and I love you. Simple, easy, free, continuo

Saying "I Love You" - The Path to Enlightenment

This book has an interesting concept, one I hadn't encountered before, as a path to your source, to the divine. Other techniques that with the purpose of leading you to similar territory are things like Buddhist meditation and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), to name a couple.

An Hawaiian psychologist apparently healed a whole ward of criminally insane patients using this technique without ever having therapy sessions with any of them. This method,
When I first tried to read this book several months ago, I read the first few pages and wondered what the heck the author was talking about. So I put it up on a shelf and forgot about it. But I was recently compelled to pick it back up, and now it makes perfect sense to me. I guess it's true that when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. I'm a big proponent of the "love conquers all" type of thinking, so this book is right up my alley.

To simplify what the author is saying, the world a
Found the theory and subject matter interesting and possibly even helpful, but the self-promotion was irritating. Also, the full theory or practice was held back so you just got a very basic idea of what exactly ho'oponopono is, but can't practice it fully without attending a class. Also I found one of the testimonials deeply disturbing. I didn't need to hear (audio version) something so upsetting when I totally wasn't expecting it. Just that by itself makes me not want to listen to it again.

I think everyone should read this. We would have a better world for it. I think Christians need to read it most because they should understand the power of love, forgiveness and living free. If you think this is 'new age' than think again because it is rooted in irrefutable laws- the law of love.
I had to practice a bit of Ho'oponopono on my reactions to the author, actually, which was nice.

Clean, clean, clean.

Besides that, the book title is somewhat misleading, and basically tells little about the practice techniques, aka the cleaning, until the very end. The majority of the book does focus on the relationship between the author and Dr. Hew Len, and introduces the reader to Dr Hew Len. And those parts—getting the direct transcripts of Dr Hew Len—were worth savoring and enjoying.

If I wasn't going to Hawaii I may not of picked this book up. But since I was in a store where it lay, and I know I've looked at it before - I was propelled to buy it.
While I found the author's ego a bit overbearing at times, what the book had to offer on the Hawaiian system of Ho'oponopono was compelling. So much so, I found myself on the last day of my visit on the Big Island searching out the historic site where such family ceremonies were held.

A riveting book that could literally change the world we live in. The story of Hawaiian Psychologist, Dr. Hew Len, reveals the power that is within each one of us if we only learn how to use it. This book teaches a very simple method, using four simple phrases, than can change your life and those around you.

The one thing that detracts from the book is the author himself. I have known and followed Joe Vitale for many years, and he has a lot of good things to say. Unfortunately, most of what he sa
