Recommends it for: those who have or want to prevent diabetes
This is a terrific book that proves there is no need to be carb-phobic. General and nutritional information and delicious vegan vegetarian recipes (containing whole grains, beans/legumes, vegetables, and fruit) for diabetes control and prevention are included. The recipes look delicious, and full nutritional information, including type and number of exchanges, is given for each recipe.

I've really enjoyed these simple and healthy recipes. They surprise me with their flavour, while using a careful amount of sugars and fats. Not all recipes have been perfect, but 90% turn out great. The recipes use an interesting layout that mixes ingredients with instructions. I was surprised that the cookbook is also mostly vegan and offers a plethora of gluten-free recipes as well.
