A good read. I started out with a bad attitude towards this book. The review mentioned an adulterous affair, and threatened a marraige. However I could not help connect with the characters, and while I do not condone the affair, the author dealt with the issue in a way that I was content with. However the big climax at the end, left me lacking, and I was not overly emotionally involved at the point. So... I enjoyed the first three quarters of the book, more than the last quarter.
I really enjoyed this read. Haven't we all dreamed of spiriting off and starting over? Although happily ever afters are sometimes sappy, this book was really sweet and thoughtful. Ah, to know what the future holds.... We would probably all make different decisions in life? "It is a peculiarity of man that he can only live by looking to the future..." Vikto E.
