My mom found this for me at a Hospice store and I couldn't resist getting it! It's a lovely little gem and it makes me smile every time I read it.

The first two pages start:

"Tracy Petersen is, I bet,
the messiest girl I've ever met.
Six years old and four feet tall,
you'd never guess she was messy at all.
With every little curl in place
a gentle smile upon her face.

But here's a warning - take a broom
if you ever go inside her room."

Tracy’s Mess

This is a very cute story, with an engaging rhyme, and with much to view in each illustration. It’s amusing (I particularly liked the too high bed) but for parents who want their kids to properly clean their rooms, they might not be fans of Tracy’s solution to cleaning her room. I was actually expecting a different ending, and I appreciated the irreverence shown here. As a kid I was neat and good about putting away everything, as I should.
