Great concept, good info...but fairly poor writing. Instead of reading this, I would recommend this one instead.

Social Justice turns out to be more than an occasionally nice community rally we participate in, or a slogan, or even a week-long program we sign up for. Social Justice is a holistic way of life 24/7 - begining right where we are.

This book was hard to get through at first, but the last two chapters really make up for a tough initial read. After I closed it, I was challenged, but really reaffirmed things that other books have implanted in my mind.

recommends it for: suburbanites who want to wrestle with justice issues
Interesting format--part narrative, part non-fiction. Some good thoughts for those who are trying to be less insular in their suburban perches.

This wasn't quite the quick and easy read I was told it would be, but it was worth reading. Lots to think about and "chew" on.
