I have encountered an apologetic undies-wearing ombudsman SNAG penguin (Bloom County's Opus), a menacing projection of madness penguin (Tanith Lee's Paradys series) and a beer-guzzling, hot tub dwelling penguin (Pen Pen in Evangelion) in the books that I have read. A penguin of death is a first for me.
If you like penguin, this book might change your view- or it might not.
It definitely make you laugh, and make you think how absurd it is to buy a book this small and this simple.

This book would make a cute gift book, except for the fact that its about death... This book is not overly funny or overly serious, but its a nice, comforting little read.
Very cute, in a dark way. Someone gave me this book during my post-grad student years, when I often wished I had such a penguin.... for use on others.
Although the story is short, I found myself with a smile in the end. Sure it talks about death but it is done in a humorous way.
Great illustrations, but I was hoping it would be darker in an Edward Gorey kind of way.
A very short funny little book that made me laugh and made me hungry for biscuits and tea.....but not with a penguin, at least not that one, yet.
very cute and amusing
This is an amusing little illustrated poem. There's not much else to say about it, save for noting that it's really more of a gift book than a real "read".
He is strangely attractive because of his enigmatic smile. He can kill you in any 1 of 412 different ways.

marked it as to-read
