My daughter reads out loud to her brothers and me in the car to and from school. Since the beginning of the school year, I've heard about Lauren the Puppy Fairy finding lost pets, and Miss Frizzle driving her magic school bus through the laws of physics, and Jack and Annie dropping their tree-house on every time period since the dawn of creation, and Stanley becoming flat and then round again, and found all these series to be anywhere from simplistic and insipid to solidly educational and mildly

When I picked this book up to read it, I was not too sure what it was going to be about. I knew it involved an Easter Bunny somehow. The book talks about how Junie B. is calling her friends "dumb bunny" and she gets in trouble for calling names. So, instead, she thinks the name in her head where nobody can hear her, but she still tells them that she is thinking about it in her head and so she gets told on. Then one of her friends, Lucy, is having an Easter Egg Hunt and is inviting ever

First, let me say I do not like the word "dumb" and I do not allow my children to use it, however, it worked for this book and I actually said it a few times while reading it aloud to my children on a long car ride back home to Pennsylvania from Wisconsin! We read this book in one day. Junie B. reminds me so much of my daughter - outgoing, intelligent, inquisitive, outspoken, and used to getting her own way. My daughter like Junie B. has a good heart, but sometimes manages to get he

Cute. Funny. My daughter thinks they're hilarious. I didn't think it was quite as charming as the first Junie B. Jones book I picked up (Junie B. Jones Loves Handsome Warren), which is Junie set in Kindergarten.
But I like to read them, cause I can read the whole thing in like an hour.
I have a feeling I'll be reading a lot of these. My daughter likes it when I read the books she likes.

Not as hilarious and Junie B. and the monkey business, but still entertaining as a read aloud with the kids. Disagreed with a couple of things the teacher said, though, so had to address those with the kids. Good underlying message, which the 2nd grader seemed to understand, but I think it may have been lost on the 6 year old. Still, a fun read.

It was ok. It was funny but some of it was too goofy for me. Maybe not for you, though. Anyway you might want to check out this book, but if you want my advice, "Don't."

Read to my class. The words that Junie B. Jones says and predicaments she finds herself in always opens up 2nd grade discussions about kindness and word choice :)

I like at the end how she finds the gold egg. But she gives it to one of her friends so he could have the play date at the pool with Lucille.

In this installment of the Junie B. series, the title character returns to the home of Lucille's richie Nanna, with amusing results.

Another fun Junie B. Jones book, this one perfect for Easter. While we skipped to read this one out of sequence, our girls enjoyed the book very much and look forward to the next one.

It's an Easter Egg-stravaganza!
Lucille is having an Easter Egg Hunt at her rich expensive mansion! And guess what? The winner gets a play date to swim in Lucille's heated indoor swimming pool! Only, here is the problem. How did Junie B. get stuck wearing a big dumb bunny suit? And how can she possibly find eggs when she keeps tripping over her huge big rabbit feet? Being a dumb bunny is definitely not as easy as it looks. Will Junie B. end up with egg on her face? Or will the day deliver More...
