Another tale of missed opportunities and love lost.

It was a quick read and not quite as heartwrenching as Revolutionary Road, but still good, heart-tugging and utterly believable in the characters' quiet pain. I might need a break from Yates for a while before going for another!

Fantastic. Yates puts family- marriage- childrearing- and relationships under the microscope. It's a short novel- but by the end you feel like you've gotten a heck of a lot more than 182 pages worth. The writing is clean- clear- deft- ironic- Yates doesn't misplace a step. One of the best writer...more...
