It's different than you would expect. I liked it more than I should have.

Luna is a normal fifteen-year old teenager, entering a new school for the first time. She is also a genetically engineered test-tube baby who spies for a secret agency. After completing a mission in Paris and discovering the intentions of the nefarious Count Van Brucken, she is sent to a school that's supposed to be affiliated with one of his projects. Can a sweet, if socially awkward super-spy make friends, and deal with g...more

Now entering adolescence her emotions are crazy and the lab just couldn't handle it. So with Control has her mom and Dr. Andy as her dad she gets situated as the new Girl in Nobel High. Wher...more

A fun read for middle to high school girls about a genetically engineered, lab raised teenager who is on the hardest mission of her life: high school. Sent to Nobel High to investigate why her nemesis is researching the school, Luna must learn to navigate a "normal" life for the first time.

The series doesn't break any new ground, but is good fun. Within the first three novels, the only concern is the exaggerated depiction of the female body - which is an unfortunate norm of manga. The art is nic...more

I liked Luna as a character, mainly because she models positivity. She has a good heart but can be very naive at times. The story writers did an excellent job of modeling an atypical High School student. The minor characters complement Luna's protagonistic personality and motives well. Readers can actually see why Luna chooses the friends she does. This book teaches the importance of sincerity and self confidence.

Female super-secret agent? Sweet. Owl? Even better. Socially awkward female super-secret agent going to high school who is good friends with an owl? Epic.

I like socially awkward characters. Mostly because I was "socially awkward" for my public school life. As in, no one talked to me while I wanted to talk to everyone.

The art's pretty, and characters make up for what it lacks in story.

Fifteen-year-old Luna, born from a test tube, has been trained as a secret U.S. government agent since birth. After failing a mission in Paris she is reassigned to pose as a student at Nobel High. With Luna's emotions running high and her lack of socialism this proves to be the hardest mission yet. To make matters worse the new boy that she has a crush on is her arch enemy’s son.

At first glance, I assumed "Amazing Agent Luna" would be a generic rendition of the magical-girl-meets-high-school-hijinks shojo manga plot, and it's true elements of that storyline do appear here. Love triangles, clique troubles, and emotional roller coaster rides abound; covert on-campus clashes with villains also arise. On the whole, however, "Amazing Agent Luna" features a fresh enough perspective to distinguish it from the ranks of mere rip-offs. Protagonist Luna's powers, for one thing, sp...more

Luna is a spy that was born in a test tube and raised in a government lab to be the ultimate spy. Her newest mission forces her to go to high school, which will present more challenges then Luna expected. A fun, goofy spy series, which is my favorite kind. Love getting to see Agent Jennifer from the prequel all grown up.

I enjoyed this spunky, entertaining and action filled manga. It gives real prominence
to girl power and great insight into the emotional toils teenage girls face and that
girls are just as tough and cool as guys.

I love it! Luna is a great character that is going through both some typical and atypical teenage stresses. She also learns the value of friends. The author did a great job with the whole love-tringle that's starting to come out in the plot between Oliver, Jonah, and Luna. I LOVE THIS MANGA!

Love the plot. Love the characters. Is is a bit whimsical? Yeah, but that's part of its charm. Is it a bit outlandish. Yeah, but that's also part of its charm.

I am very selective when it comes to manga. One thing that helps me choose is that the girl characters are strong and still retain the feminine.

Luna was created in a test tube and raised by the US government to be a super spy. She is swift and deadly, but can she handle high school?

A good idea for a story. The usual love triangles are abundant, it's one of the things I love about Manga. :D

This read way too much like a current Disney sitcom for tweens, which I'm sure that age group would really enjoy. Not for me.
