While Arabic is my native language, I can read the phrases and see how they are beautifully woven. My language is just complex and I have to take constructions as they are. This dictionary gives constructions as they are used in modern books, newspapers, etc. and it is good to learn them as they are and later use them in order to show off a little bit that we are really educated and we write with style. Buckwalter's & Parkinson's frequency dictionary is a great resource for the intermediate learner. The frequency study that forms the basis of this book is pretty big & adequately diverse for most Fusḥa learners' needs, & 5,000 words is a fantastic foundational vocabulary.
