It's really good, although the kidnapping thing is a bit disturbing.

I would have rated this higher but I was a little disappointed in the ending, it just felt like there was issues left unfinished. What happens to Jared and Tom?

3,5 stars. The ending was disappointing because I loved Jared the most and seing there wont (probably) be second book means he wont have his ending at all. ...more
Well, it wasn't bad. Blue giants were sweet, their human mates were a bit too... permissive? They were like children, everybody else made decisions for them. They weren't even angry about being kidnapped. They were very zen about it: "Apparently fate decided that I was to be mated to an alien from outer space."
All this plot and treason (Remember, remember the 5th of November!) was pretty obvious and not very developed. And I had a feeling that Kenano's and Jared's story were not well balanced. I

Less DNF than couldn't finish. I've only tried one Sage Whistler book before - Broken, which I read on my twincest rampage - and it was so boring I had to skim something like 150 pages out of 120. Tried this one since I'm on an alien rampage atm and it's just as bad.

10% in and I don't care about anything and everything. There's all these history that tells you about the MCs' life from conception to present day before I even know, or give a shit about them.

I enjoyed this one very much. Wonderful writing, interesting plot, and the characters were delightful. I not only liked the main couple, but the other two pairings as well. And who can resist strong, gentle, 8-foot tall, blue-skinned, blue-haired aliens searching for their mates?

A lot of the alien words were kind of strange and jarring, but there were also quite a few wonderful, laugh-out-loud moments. The plot and world-building could have been fleshed out some more, and it all ended with an bi

I really liked the premise of this book. I think there were a lot of really interesting things happening, and I was pleased with the world building and characterization throughout.

I was a bit confused, however, by the fact that Jared is the first character introduced in the book, even though I would consider him to be a supporting character, as he quickly falls aside as the story progresses. I was disappointed that he did not play a larger role. Also, I feel that he was forgotten at the end and

Just a comment about the blurb...
I think it should probably be "war ravaged" and not "ravished." Just sayin'...

A great novel; I love how the aliens were portrayed, both personality-wise and species-wise, and the chapter-openers from Safera's journal fit very well with each section. I have to admit when I first read the summary, I wasn't expecting it to focus so clearly on multiple couples. Although the primary pairing is of Kenano and Nurak - the first to be matched, and the only 'completed' pair focused on, as Kenano had the ukaii placed and functional before the others - there is also a threading of at ...more

I'm really annoyed right now. From the begginning and the blurb got the impression, that this book was about Jared and Kenano ... it was about 10 % Jared (view spoiler) , which story was 4 stars and 90 % Kenano with 2 stars. After the middle I only read the book because of Jared and then they didn't even give me what should have happened (view spoiler) ...more

WAY to many couples for such a short book and that was it's biggest downfall. Other than the fact that this doesn't look like a series and it finishes on a cliffhanger.

Had this been solely about Naruk and Keanno it wouldn't have been as bad. You would have actually gotten to know the characters and maybe begin to appreciate there little quirks. It also didn't help that Dawa and Jared were my favourite couple and the book isn't really about them you only get a little taste of what they could be
Well, I really really wanted to like this book. Hell I did. Still, there were too many things I wanted to know, things happening that were just mentioned or not even mentioned at all. And the ending... well.

It all felt like a first draft. Unfinished. There was just so much unexploited potential.

Next book perhaps?

Yowza!! I can not wait until the author comes out with the next in this series. Hot,hot, hot men-- super sexy space travel stuff, and technologically advanced BDSM applications!?! What's not to like?

Despite loads of unnecessary sci fi names for all sorts of odd things, I really liked the book. It had a great premise and was super entertaining.
Not to impressed with this. I found it messy and I didn't like the constant shift in PoV, but that could be just because of my preference :)

A good story involving a bunch of hunky blue-skinned aliens. I was a bit dissapointed at the end though, on Jared's benefit.
