So this is my second novel by Pamela clare. And so far Im so thrilled that i had finally got down to this series.
You must wonder why i gave this book a 4.5 star? Well,I got into the story so much that i felt sort of personal with the heroine here.

Pamela Clare manages to create suspense stories so grounded in reality they are at the same time haunting and beautiful. Julian and Tessa are an amazing couple – believable, flawed, and yet perfect for each other. Another book for my "favorites" shelf. This is book #2 in the Investigative Team (I-Team) series. Neat reading from journalistic point of view and the I-team is part of the Denver newspaper. I could not put this one down! Wonderful! Julian was a wounded soul and a bad boy that "evolved" into one very nice guy. (sigh) He meets Tessa from the I-team and she becomes his sunshine. This was very intense at times and pertained to child sex slavery/trafficking, so be warned....more

Another intense and gripping story in the I-Team series, though not as enjoyable as the previous one. And the guilt lays full on the shoulders of Tessa Novak, the heroine.
The previous book worked despite the fact the heroine was an investigative journalist conducting a full-scale investigation into an environmental crime, because said heroine knew her limitations, knew the danger, and acted accordingly.

I am just loving these books! Definitely makes my top 5 favorite series!
These stories are a perfect combination of suspense and romance. We all know how I love my romance books, but this is done just right. Not too much, not too little. Great storyline too with the human trafficking. I just wish all the kids in the world could be saved from that. It's a sad but true reality.

Hello, my name is Alyssa and I am a Pamela Clare I-Team addict. In the past 24 hrs I have devoured not only this book but Extreme Exposure as well. Tessa & Julian ignited off the page and were so real that I almost want to fly to Denver to find them just to have a conversation. Cannot express my newfound & deep love for this series enough. I bow to the excellence that is Pamela Clare.
I started this series at the next book, Unlawful Contact, which I loved. Naked Edge was decent and then I loved the last one, Breaking Free. So, after reading about Julien and Tessa in cameos, I decided to read their main story. Well, it was a bit of a disappointment. It was good... but I guess I had expected better. Another great read by Pamela Clare. I really like the I-team. Julian was a bit of a dark character and I liked how he was with Tessa. The scene near the end when he tells Tessa about his past was a good one.
The epilogue was entertaining and I loved the scene where all the I-team ladies were checking out Julian outside the newspaper office. That was funny. Oh and I loved Tessa reconnecting with her mom.

Very enjoyable romantic suspense. I actually liked the first book better, but still really liked this one. I just wish they would have spent more time together. It was also a difficult subject matter. Reading about teenage girls being sold as sex slaves does not lend itself to a romantic mood making it harder to enjoy the story. Enjoyed this one a little bit more than the first book...the suspense and action were definitely higher than the 1st and the romance was great.
Pamela Clare is most definitely a good writer and she DOES know her stuff when it comes to writing about investigative reporting and police procedures but, again...those parts in the book aren't always very exciting for me. "Hard Evidence" is the second in the I-Team series and, in my opinion, much better than the first. Tessa Novak witnesses a horrible murder, which lands her in the protective custody of Julian Darcangelo, a special agent for the FBI. Another good story in the I-Team series! This one revolves around Julian(FBI special agent) and Tessa (the sweet southern journalist). These two fit together perfectly. Tessa was the antidote to Julian's hard exterior. She was able to break down his walls and find her way into his heart.
