This is a picture book about a little boy who is afraid of everything, including cartoons on TV, the washing machine, clothes on a clothesline, and hedge clippers. Or, more accurately, he is afraid of the nightmares these everyday objects inspire.
This book is rather strange and the storyline is clunky, but it does address a very common concern for youngsters. (And, for that matter, adults. But unfortunately the solution for our bad dreams is rarely this easy.)
