The book begins with an overview of the Choctaw communities and their dances, then a section on specific dances, then a section on songs, then transcriptions of a number of songs. It was interesting, but this is a book that really needs a CD (or even a DVD of the dances) with it -- how many non-Choctaws have ever heard this music?
