I don't know why I chose this book. When it arrived and I read the page of praise before the title page, I groaned a little inside -"I chose this?" I usually chose fiction for review. But I did choose it and though I had no clue how I could review it, as I read, it became clear to me.

This book is well-written and very easy to read and understand. It uses examples from the Bible and from the author's life (and that of people he knows) with the focus more on the modern examples. The author quotes scripture to back up his points and the book is Biblically correct. I love that the book says, "The main thing was not my love for God, but his love for me." So true. Two other books that delve even deeper into this principle are "Believing God" by Beth Moore and "

While this was a religious self-help type book I didn't feel as if the author was being preachy or pushy. Jud Wilhite writes about how he has struggled with God, how others struggled with God and what he has learned about turning your life over to God. The different stories are what Wilhite uses to help the reader relate to these struggles. While I didn't connect with every person he talked about there were parts of some of these stories that really resonated with me.

Eyes Wide Open by Jud Wilhite is a beautiful look at just how much God loves each and every one of us. This book was such a joy to read. Wilhite uses Scripture after Scripture to show the loving nature of God and just how much He really wants a personal relationship with each of us. By reminding readers that they are members of a royal priesthood and God's own possession, he offers a wonderful gift that sometimes gets lost in the message of Christianity. Yes, we are sinful, but He loves us anywa

In Eyes Wide Open Wilhite talks a lot about grace. This is not a new concept in Christianity. In fact most of the ideas in the book are not new and you have probably heard them before. He tells people that God loves them, just the way they are, and that God’s grace is big enough for everyone. He tries to show people the difference they can make in their own lives and in the lives of those around them if they actually accept these things as true, believe them in their heart, and start living like

In Eyes Wide Open, author Jud Wilhite has the incredible ability to share gripping insights that meet you where you live. I love the personal stories from Jud (& others). They lend an authenticity to the ideas he shares, so that it's not just information, but applicable truth that you know Jud has wrestled with as well. The themes of identity & transformation alone are worth reading this book. Take the journey with Jud, as he leads us to places where our eyes really do get opened wide.

Good insight from Jud. Easy read, and better understanging on how I should view myself.
