This is a short book which covers the main rivers of Greece, their gods, and their myths connected to them. The most interesting aspect of this book is the fact that the author himself has personally been to all these rivers and streams he has talked about and laughingly all but one he has swam in as well. He generously inserts portions of the mythology, as well as the historical accounts (Greek and Roman) as well as more recent accounts from the 1800s and up.
