Sarah Parker
I read this play a week after the devastating earthquake in Nepal, in homage to a wonderful country.

The two plays are thought provoking, about children being separated from their parents.

I will teach this to my year 9 students, with the goal of opening their eyes to the poverty and hardship in the world!
Both plays in this book - yes it's got 2 plays in it - Burning Everest and Mariza's Story are excellent.
Was forced to read it for school but its not a bad book.
