this book would be ok if the author just stuck to basically saying “hey this is what works for me, maybe give it a shot” but instead she constantly includes flat-out wrong “facts” (ex: she claims asparagus is in the same family as lilies, but lilies are liliaceae and asparagus are asparagaceae), a LOT of racism (ex: she repeatedly refers to Asians as or*****ls), misuses things such as the yin-yang, and does just plain gross things like labeling Confucius a kitchen witch. 0/10 would not recommend

I haven't tried most of the recipes, although a lot of them are tried and true old favorites with her own magic slant to discussing them. Home is the hearth, and food for the family is the basis for a good home life. Not being retired yet nor home with small children, I don't get time enough to focus on hearth as I would wish to. This book at least helps me think in the right sphere.
